My approach

My name is Rochelle, I am a qualified, specialist Midwife with both NHS and international working knowledge. I have been a Midwife for more than 11 years and I am the proud founder of Melanin Mothers, attempting to bridge the inequalities gap.

A proud educator and public speaker. I have supported many birthing people through various different birthing scenarios. I believe the time is now, for all birthing people and their families to take control of their health and wellbeing. Especially those from black and brown ethnic communities. I endeavour to ‘Inform, Empower and Guide’ you through your pregnancy, your birth and help you navigate your way through the postnatal period. Ensuring you are able to get the very best out of your maternity care experience.

No two pregnancies are the same, therefore bespoke planning and support is essential.
